I was inspired to write MASKED BALL after a brief (innocent, of course!) encounter of my own at a plush hotel in Coral Gables, Florida, near where I live in Miami. In my stories, I always manage to incorporate the warm, sultry weather I live in. The weather permeates every facet of life, driving us south Floridians a bit crazy! As depicted in my story, sometimes “crazy” can be good, especially when the clash between two strangers in the hotel’s dark poolside gro… More >>
Masked Ball
A racy tale of relationships in flux, steeped in mystery and passion. Ms. Cardoso has a way of making you think this is all happening to you, so intimate is her style of writing. Hold on to your seat for the surprise ending!

I loved the story. It left me wanting more. The way the author wrote the story allowed me to picture the characters and scene in my head. The ending was totally a shock to me!! I just love a great story that is not predictable. AND THIS IS IT!!!!!

This is some of the first “erotica” that I’ve read. Perhaps this is not the right genre for me. I felt deflated when I was finished. Like I had been teased and there was no satisfaction. I’ll try the Sleeping Beauty series, but think I might just stick with traditional romance.

An entertaining and great read for Sex and The City fans. I was hooked by page 3 and I found it difficult to put down. Some parts made me blush and think of the character Samantha while others made me think of the more sentimental Carrie Bradshaw. Yet, the main character Jo is actually different than both. She is a strong and successful business woman who has everything going for: model looks, men eating out of the palm of her hand and lots of charm. Her only problem: her love life is suffering after she suspects her boyfriend is cheating on her. Being strong-minded she puts her personal issues aside to focus on a major business trip that will be extremely profitable, but what happens during her travel to Ft.Lauderdale will be more than she expects to earn in the dollar sense. Makes a great little beach read.

Unfortunately I must have been reading a different book than the other reviewers. It started out well enough, but degenerated into eye-rolling ridiculousness.
The main character started as a successful businesswoman, but ended up acting like a moody, horny, indecisive teenager by the time the book was over.
And the “surprise ending”? Well I certainly didn’t see it coming, but that doesn’t make it any good. It was laughable and unbelievable.
Two stars because it was good enough to read until the end.
